After a short ascent towards Grauberg, we turn off to a viewpoint on Crap Grisch.
We walk a little way along the Glarus Thrust where 280 million year old rock lies on top of younger layers.

nesboden. The first part of the excursion focuses on the history of the earth, mountain formation and rocks.
After a picnic lunch, we descend to the Lower Segnesboden. On the Segnesboden we cross the meandering
the meandering water and enjoy the beauty of this alpine floodplain and moorland landscape of national
importance. Passing a waterfall, we return to Alp Nagens via the Segnes hut. We take a break at the Segneshütte and review the history of the earth (biosphere and geosphere).

- moderately difficult mountain hike; SAC hiking scale T2 (2 short sections T3, with rope protection)
- Pure walking time 3 1⁄2 h; duration of the guided tour 5-6 h; ascent 330 m, descent 500 m; distance 10.5 km
- Highest point: 2,420 m above sea level (Crap Grisch)
- Meeting point: 09:30 bus stop Laax Bergbahnen (post bus to Alp Nagens)
- Departure: approx. 17:00 at Alp Nagens
