Electricity has never been just electricity. It changes everything – lives, landscapes and entire regions! With "The Power Plant" with our rousing open-air play, we dive into the turbulent years of power plant construction in the Hinterrhein – Valle di Lei. A once-in-a-century project that has inspired and polarized people and turned their world upside down for 70 years .

"Nothing has changed life in the region more sustainably than the power plant and electricity."

With the open-air play, we are reviving the turbulent times - the pioneering spirit, the passionately visionary entrepreneurial personalities, the dramas and the bizarre events surrounding this once-in-a-century project.

In the middle of it all: "Cora", a young electrical engineer with an electrifying family history. The river has changed the valley – and her family with it! But what was it really like back then? Was it pioneering spirit or madness? Progress or downfall? Vision or venture?

Gripping stories, big dreams and a bit of drama are of course also part of it. It will be lively, surprising and full of energy!
