Event Arosa Lenzerheide
«Grandhotel XY ungelöst» und „The Bear“ von William Walton (Extravaganza in one)
Description
OPERETTA ARDEZ, well known in Arosa for "Hänsel e Grettina" or "The Magic Violin," presents this summer "The Bear" by William Walton on stage. It is a musically and scenically captivating musical theater masterpiece for three people, which draws the audience in with wit, pace, and depth from the first to the last second. Together with "The Bear," the crime operetta "Grandhotel XY unsolved" will be performed. Although the same three performers are involved, this time it is not set in Chekhov's era, but in the year 2009, 20 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall or the fire at the legendary spa hotel Waldhaus Vulpera. The scenic premiere of this "crime operetta" comes with music ranging from Strauss, Verdi, Donizetti to Aretha Franklin and many more, along with stories, anecdotes, true and invented events from the Scuol Palace and other grand hotels. The audience, similar to "The Bear," is catapulted into a microcosm where they suddenly find themselves in the thick of the action. The confusions surrounding the love triangle, the illustrious guests at the hotel, and the rumors about the hotel's past and future escalate and spread like wildfire... Can the hotel manager save his grand hotel, or will it end up in a similar tragedy as 20 years ago? What role do the widow and an old childhood friend who unexpectedly appears for the anniversary and stirs everything up play? Let yourself be transported into a world full of intrigues, surprising twists, and captivating music.
