Kinopremiere "Sew Torn"

The original feature film "Sew Torn - Threads of Crime" was shot entirely in Sarganserland, in the Tamina Valley near Bad Ragaz, Vättis and Pfäfers, and celebrated great success worldwide at Filfmestivals, including on the Piazza Grande at the Locarno Film Festival. Under the direction of the "child prodigy" Freddy Macdonald, who was only 21 years old at the time of filming, many international actors and actresses travelled to Sarganserland for this Swiss-American co-production. For a month, the film production exuded a touch of Hollywood in Sarganserland. A highlight was the controlled demolition of a shop on Badstrasse in Bad Ragaz.

On September 10 at 7:45 p.m., the Kiwi Kino Castels in Sargans will host the Swiss preview in the presence of the film team. From September 11, the film will be shown in the regular cinema program at Kiwi. Experience a piece of international film history MADE IN SARGANSERLAND!


About the plot: Barbara Duggen (Eve Connolly) works as a mobile seamstress in a remote Swiss mountain valley. Her days consist of yarn, fabric and the desperate hope of keeping her late mother's family business alive. But when she accidentally comes across the scene of a failed drug deal and finds an abandoned briefcase full of money, she is faced with a choice – and with her, a game of life and death begins.

- She takes the money and flees.
- She calls the police.
- Or she just keeps going.

Three decisions. Three versions of reality. In each one, Barbara loses a bit of control – and becomes more entangled in a web of violence, guilt and survival instinct. Pursued by the manipulative Joshua (Calum Worthy) and the ice-cold Hudson (John Lynch), Barbara uses the only thing in which she is unbeatable: needle, thread - and her mind.
