Körper im Kontakt – Tanzen in Nairs

We work with Contact Improvisation – a dance based on body weight and touch – solo and group improvisation and other elements from contemporary dance. From gentle to explosive, from controlled to instinctive, with ground contact and lifts. Alone, as a couple and as a group.
The focus is on research with the body: perceiving, reacting, creating.

It's not the right execution that counts, but presence and the ability to make decisions in the moment – with weight, direction, rhythm and other bodies in space.
We move between guided dance, technical exercises and free improvisation.

Open to beginners and advanced users. All bodies and experiences are welcome. Bring comfortable clothes in which you can move easily.
The dance classes will take place in the event hall of the Fundaziun Nairs, Scuol.

Cilai Herrmann studied dance and performance in Stockholm. The artistic work deals with more-than-human perspectives, in particular with water from the death of glaciers to the straightening of the Rhine. Cilai co-founded the Sympoietic Society and Rhizome Dance Collective collectives and works for choreographers such as Stephanie Thiersch, Hooman Sharifi and Amanda Pina. Teaching focuses on joy, contact and creative expression.
