Oktobergold und Novemberrost

Bright colours, clear mountain views and the majestic backdrop of snow-capped peaks characterise the beauty of the transitional period between autumn and winter. But it is also a time of contrasts. In the animal world, the first are already asleep, while the others are still loudly and energetically providing new life. And still others eagerly collect supplies so that they can survive the cold season.
The plant world, on the other hand, says goodbye to the year with bright colors and of course we hope for sunshine so that we can celebrate this feast for the eyes.

Andreas Kofler's favourite colour is October, and we find out what he means by that on the way. However, autumn has always touched poets and writers, and we will hear samples of their works.

The minibus takes us from Bergün to a side valley, where alpine landscapes and their inhabitants await us. We are mainly on the lookout for chamois and red deer, but also for the silhouette of golden eagles or bearded vultures. Through a wild and impressive landscape, we hike leisurely back to Bergün and address the "natural phenomena" that occur. The hike is neither strict nor demanding, because we are out of the valley and thus mostly downhill. It is not steep, but the route stretches on a pleasant gradient to Bergün.
