Ramona Projer: Beyond Skin

The Beyond Skin series brings together figurative oil paintings. In it, Ramona Projer explores the question of what presence a body has beyond its legible surface and what remains when appearance dissolves.
The figures in her paintings are not carriers of a narrative, but embodiments of conditions. They appear in reduced, clearly defined spaces that function as atmospheric projection surfaces and create a space in which subjectivity is not explained, but can be experienced directly.
