Wildlife watching Ibex, deer, chamois and co.

During the one-day Ibex Tour you will discover the realm of the ibex and others. A Swiss Ranger will guide you through the secluded Weisstannen valley. The ranger will provide you with exciting information about the life of the wild animals and help you to spot them.

Deer, roe deer, bearded vultures, chamois, ibex - these wild animals feel at home in the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona. During the Ibex Tour you will hike through the secluded Weisstannental valley, past 80-metre-high waterfalls. A Swiss Ranger will guide you through the wild nature. The Swiss Ranger will tell you how the animals live and what is special about their habitat. You will be taken to places where you can observe the animals in the wild. With a bit of luck, you will spot the majestic mountain inhabitants that many of us only know from photos. The tours take place as follows:

Bookable from April to October on selected dates
Minimum number of participants 4 (final decision on the day before 16.00)
Online: until 16.00 the day before
By phone: for Saturday tours until 16.00 the day before and for Sunday tours until 12.00 the day before
The tour takes place in any weather condition, unless the Swiss Ranger cancels the tour due to safety reasons*
Individual group tours up to max. 20 people possible on request (Up to 20 people CHF 500.00 for the whole group, 21-40 people CHF 900.00 for the whole group)

*Bad weather activities: lecture on the release of the ibex in the Weisstannental and further information on the ibex in the Alte Post in Weisstannen. Educational material such as ibex horns are available on the bad- and good-weather versions.
