Advice for Self-service bicycle transport

  • The easiest way to load your bike is to enter the baggage car through the passenger door and then open the loading door from inside by lowering or lifting the safety catch.
  • Do not open the door until the train has come to a standstill. After opening the door, raise the safety bar and load or unload your bike. Please note: the safety bar must be lowered again as soon as you have finished loading or unloading.
  • Please inform the Rhaetian Railway train staff where you intend to unload your bikes so that they can assist you in making sure you unload your bikes safely. It is important that you are well organised as a passenger. Take your bike to the bike platform or baggage car in plenty of time to ensure it can be loaded and unloaded quickly.
  • During the summer season, most post buses travel with practical bike racks attached to the back of the vehicle.
  • If there is no bike rack at the rear, your cycle can be transported on board the bus itself.  Please note: show consideration for the other passengers.
