Well marked, the path leads uphill to Guraletschsee - The Guraletschsee lies in a hollow under the moraine of the front Fanell Glacier. At Guraletschsee, you cross the stream flowing from the lake and follow the marked path northwards along the slope of the Guraletschhorn to Zünliflue. From there, the path leads northwards down over alpine pastures, then turns right into the valley of Ampervreila and ascends to Ampervreilasee, a dark-colored small mountain lake at the foot of the pointed Guraletschhorn. Afterwards, the path continues northwards. Gentle climbs and slopes accompany you to Selvasee, the last of the three mountain lakes.

The next notable point of the hike is the alpine hut of Heinisch-Stafel. After that, you continue hiking towards Peiltal. The path passes Selvaalp, where one of the best alpine cheeses of Graubünden is produced.
