Description
The route starts in Schiers and initially runs flat on the gravel road along the riverbed of the Schraubach. The Schraubach forms an inexhaustible reservoir of gravel and sand. The path runs through the wild romantic river landscape. The route climbs pleasantly up to the old sawmill. At the old sawmill, the turnoff follows a steep path for about one kilometer to the mountain village of Schuders. It is worth taking a break here to visit the beautiful little church. Then follows the descent to the world monument Salginatobel Bridge. The bridge can be admired from a platform. In an elegant curve, it crosses the Salgina Gorge at a height of over 90 meters. After visiting this impressive structure, the route continues on the paved mountain road through the hamlets of Pusserein and Lasein through very beautiful meadow and forest areas towards Fanas. Above Fanas, the route alternates between forest roads and single trails, which are always easy and well rideable. The single trail down to Grüsch is particularly beautiful and fluent. From Grüsch, it goes flat again over field paths and along the banks of the Landquart back to Schiers.
