This route makes biker hearts beat faster: panoramic view of the Rätikon range at Alp Valpun, Stoffenburg downhill, the "insider tip" in Prättigau.
Details
Description
From Pany, follow the former Swiss Bike Masters route via an alpine road with moderate incline towards Bova and Alp Valpun, the highest point of the route. There, the beautiful panoramic view of the Rätikon range opens up. You now ride westwards on a well-ridable singletrail towards Stels, always with a great view. From the mountain hut "Zum See," ride a few kilometers downhill on the paved road before turning left in Crals to reach the start of the popular "Stoffenburg" singletrail via a rough alpine road. This trail is very steep and places high demands on riding skills. Back in the valley floor, continue — partly again on the Bike Masters route — via Buchen and Nuois back to the starting point.
Those who want to skip the final climb back to Pany can take the post bus back from Schiers or Küblis to Pany (max. 5 bikes per trip).
Safety Note
The alpine path from the "Surri" farm to the start of the "Stoffenburg" singletrail is also used by riding school students and young horses. Please adjust your riding behavior at unclear spots so that horses and riders are not startled.
