Description

Welcome to Ticino. We are now moving into the Italian-speaking region, through the rocky Val Termine up to the Passo dell`uomo and around the Pizzo delle Colombe, which somehow looks out of place in its appearance. Jagged peaks rise sharply into the sky, and its slopes shimmer bright orange or white. It is the dolomite that gives it its shape and color and that collects in the hollows like sugar. Perfectly suited as decorative sand, if there is still space in the backpack. The highlight of this stage awaits us at the Passo Predelp, where we gain insight into the Valle Leventina.

Directions

Along the pass road and on the marked hiking trail (green clapper "Gotthard Tunnel Trail") we hike southwards to the Casaccia plain. Here we cross the river and continue our way eastwards, over the Alpe Lareccio to the Lake di Cane. From here it continues southwards and increasingly uphill to the Passo Predelp. This is followed by a steep descent to Predelp di Sopra and further with a slight uphill to the Capanna Prodör.
