Description

The moderately difficult, varied hike offers a magnificent view of the mountain landscape as well as the beautiful Lake Walen.

Hidden Gem

Before the hike, you can strengthen yourself at the Panoramic Restaurant Maschgenkamm for the 4-Summit-Route. Or cool down with a delicious ice cream or aperitif at COLORS – Restaurant and Bar upon your return to Tannenboden.

Safety Note

Snow can still lie in shaded areas until July.

Equipment

Day hiking backpack (approx. 20 liters) with rain cover, sturdy and comfortable footwear, weather-appropriate and durable clothing in a layering system, optionally telescopic poles, sun and rain protection, provisions and drinking water, first aid kit, pocket knife, mobile phone, optionally headlamp, map material

Directions

The hike starts at Maschgenkamm, which you can reach most easily with the 8-person gondola BergJet. The lift has gondolas with panoramic views, so the ride itself is a real experience.

From Maschgenkamm, the route goes from summit to summit. First, you climb the Ziger. At 2074 m, it is the highest peak on the hiking route. Then it continues above the Gruebhütte towards Cuncels and Chli Güslen.

A highlight awaits on the last peak, Gross Güslen – the view towards Lake Zurich and Lake Walen is indescribable. There you can switch off, take a deep breath, and let your soul dangle.
