Along Lake Walen

You start in Walenstadt and drive in a first stage with a view of the mighty Churfirsten on the beach path to Murg. On Saturdays and Sundays you unfortunately have to switch to the road, because then many hikers use this path. In Murg you have the opportunity to interrupt your bike tour and take the Walenseeschiff on a trip to the car-free Quinten (variant A).

Back in Murg you continue your bike tour and reach the lower end of lake Walen - Weesen with its pretty harbour. If you want to experience even more, you have the opportunity to make a detour to Betlis, to the Seerenbach Falls. You have certainly noticed these waterfalls from the other shore. With an altitude difference of almost 600 m, the Seerenbach Falls form one of the highest waterfalls in Europe. At the same time, the middle stage with a drop height of 305 m is considered one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Switzerland. After this natural spectacle, you will drive back to Ziegelbrücke, from where the SBB will take you back to your starting point.
