Details

Description

The route begins with the ascent from Scuol via Ftan to Prui. From Prui the route continues on the high trail to the mountain station Motta Naluns (Caution: scooter traffic between Scuol and Prui). The next ascent to the start of the singletrail at the reservoir rises steadily and endurance is required. The following slightly exposed singletrail has some stony/rocky sections, passes Alp Clünas to Muot da l'Hom and ends with a flowing descent at Alp Laret. Here a break in the alpine restaurant with a view of the Lower Engadin Dolomites is recommended for refreshment.

The forest road then leads through overgrown rocks and dense forest sections to Ftan/Ftan Pitschen. The last section to Scuol is recommended depending on technical ability on the ascent route or on the demanding singletrails of the descent Ftan – Baraigla – Nairs.

Hidden Gem

Alternatively, the route can be started from Ftan only, or the first ascent from Scuol can be done by gondola to Motta Naluns.
