Description
You should plan well for this route. From Trin, a bus runs only twice a week from July to September, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, to Purcs, the starting point of your route. Check the exact dates. Alternatively, you can start your run from Trin.
You trot along a wide alpine path through light mountain forest and enjoy the fresh cool mountain air while ascending higher along blooming alpine meadows. The surroundings become more barren and if you pay attention to the whistles of the marmots, you can even spot them. An alpine path leads you steeply over alpine meadows to the glacier mills. If you are brave, you dive into the ice-cold mountain water and are refreshed again for the rest of your route.
There are still some challenges waiting for you: you run on narrow rocky ledges along mighty rocks, peppered with short, rope-secured sections and exposed spots. A short stop is worthwhile for the magnificent views. The route remains varied until you reach your destination in Bargis. There you board the bus and comfortably return to your starting point.
Note: On this route, there are no drinking water fountains along the way or at Alp Mora to refill your water supplies. So pack enough!
