Details
Description
The plants along the theme trail have adapted to survive in the special location, as each peak and each hollow has different living conditions. This great diversity in a very small area has developed due to the varied geology and the alternation of sun and shade. The plants have to withstand cooler temperatures, higher solar radiation, sometimes extreme wind speeds, and precipitation – some are live-bearing, others place great value on a colorful bloom. Whether you look down at the blooming flowers or at the breathtaking mountain panorama, amazement (goosebumps) is guaranteed. The Alpine Flora Trail is equipped with information pillars that provide exciting background knowledge about the diverse plant world at Flumserberg.
