Description

After a hike through the spruce forest starting at "Prätschli," continue uphill on the winter hiking trail to the mid-station (Arosa Weisshorn cable car) via Sattelalp towards Carmennhütte. This hike is part of the Heidi & Gigi Hiking Trail. From Sattelalp, you can orient yourself using the signposts. From Carmennhütte, descend on the same path back towards Restaurant Alpenblick and then back to the village (Innerarosa).

Hidden Gem

Upon arrival at the Carmennhütte, you can relax in one of the deck chairs and enjoy the sunbathing service.

Safety Note

The winter hiking trail crosses the ski slope in several places. Caution is advised.

Equipment

Sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and some drinks are recommended.

Public Transport

From Chur, the Rhaetian Railway runs hourly to Arosa. The free local bus will conveniently bring you to the Prätschli stop, where the winter hike starts.

Travel Information

From Chur, follow the signs to Arosa. At the village entrance, you can either leave the car in the parking garage or continue towards Prätschli, from where the hike starts.

Parking

At the village entrance, there is a parking information board. We recommend parking the car in the Ochsenbühl parking garage. The Ochsenbühl bus stop is a few minutes' walk away.
