Description

The start is at the 4* HUB Resgia of the Engadin Arena at 1666 m above sea level. The initial climbs are part of the Engadin Ultra Trail section (EUT 102). These are challenging, as nearly 780 meters of elevation are overcome in 6 km. You are rewarded with spectacular views of the villages of La Plaiv and the breathtaking mountain world with the Piz Kesch (3418 m above sea level). The trail leads through Val Granda to Alp Arpiglia. Shortly after the alp, which is staffed in the summer, the path branches right downhill into the 'green corridor' through the cool Avers forest. On the old alp road, as a final challenge, 200 meters of elevation are climbed over a steep 1.5 km before you return to the starting point of the challenging Zuoz round. The Arpiglia stage has a length of 12.7 km, overcomes 810 meters of elevation, and raises the heart rate of all trail runners.

For those who want to prepare even better for the Engadin Ultra Trail, we recommend the two other sections Belvair and Clavadatsch.
