An ultimate bike experience with 1960 meters of ascent using cable cars and train.
Details
Description
We start our route with the cable car to Caischavedra. From here the bike trail takes us over the Senda Pauli to the scenic Bostg (Plaun Grond) and then down a singletrail to Sedrun train station. From Sedrun, the train comfortably takes us to Oberalppass – time for a short break.
From the pass we easily roll downhill on the road, soon switching to a nicely built singletrail and reaching a traffic-free road at Alp Milez into Val Curnera. The impressive valley with its rugged cliffs is the realm of the local miners.
After the fast descent to Tschamut, another steady climb follows back to Milez. There, the mountain hut Las Palas offers a good opportunity to recharge energy – because from Alp Mulinatsch a strong climb to Liets awaits.
The descent through the forest to Alp Malamusa is fast and rewarding. After crossing the Milar creek, we roll impressively above the valley floor to the valley station Cuolm da Vi, where another cable car ride lets us catch our breath.
The following gravel road to Gendusas is rather functional – but the Catrina Flowtrail compensates with pure cornering and riding fun! The route ends with an enjoyable descent through Val Segnas to Acletta at the valley station.
