Description
The route to Val Bever starts when you head downhill from Bever railway station, turn left after the underpass and then left again near the school building. From here, a well-maintained route leads continuously but moderately uphill with two or three steeper sections to Alp Suvretta at an altitude of 2,145 meters. Natural paths, asphalt passages and short forest road sections alternate harmoniously, providing variety under your wheels.
The route is technically straightforward and therefore also suitable for less experienced mountain bikers. However, the steady climb provides excellent fitness training and makes the tour a rewarding sporting experience. Along the way, you can expect breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding peaks as you ride through fragrant forests and alongside flowering alpine meadows. It is important to note that there are also pedestrians on this trail, so mutual respect is essential.
Once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with the authentic alpine atmosphere of Alp Suvretta, where you can enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery to the fullest. The return journey along the same route offers more wonderful views – this time downhill – and, thanks to the moderate gradient, is also suitable for less experienced cyclists. Allow about 1.5 hours of pure riding time for the journey to Alp Suvretta and experience one of the most beautiful bike tours in the Upper Engadin.
