Details

Description

This varied gravel bike tour starts in Thusis and initially leads along quiet paths in the direction of Heinzenberg. The climb begins early, which develops into a long, winding mountain road as the distance increases. The ground alternates between asphalt and coarse gravel.

A central section of the tour is the steep gravel climb, which is one of the highlights both scenically and athletically. Depending on the gear ratio and condition, it may be necessary to push the bike for a short time. However, the alpine environment and the increasing expanse of the landscape compensate for the effort.

After about twelve kilometres, you reach the Beverin mountain inn, which is ideal for a rest. From here, the view opens up over the Beverin Nature Park and the surrounding mountains. The rest of the route leads over scenic sections of the upper municipality of Heinzenberg before the route leads back down into the valley towards Thusis in a varied descent.

The tour combines sporting challenge with impressive nature and is particularly suitable for gravel bike riders who appreciate longer climbs, dirt roads and alpine landscapes.
