Description

Through Valbella and up to Piz Terza, immersing yourself in fragrant larch forests and on varied trails to the crystal-clear Lai da Rims, trotting briskly through the wild romantic Val Mora – every kilometer on this trail running circular route in the Biosfera Val Müstair Nature Park is a true pleasure! Fit trail running beginners as well as advanced runners will enjoy this route. The entire circular trail comprises 5 stages. The number of stages can be freely chosen and each stage is available in two variants (il dür / il sportiv).

Hidden Gem

The Biosfera Trail is perfect for runners who enjoy varied trails in a spectacular natural landscape. Beautiful panoramas, eventful daily stages, cozy hotels in picturesque villages, as well as fine regional food, perfectly complete this sporty and enjoyable experience.

Safety Note

The routes run little on yellow hiking paths and mostly on red/white marked mountain trails. They contain technical terrain and partially transition into more alpine areas (especially IL DÜR). Trail running experience, sure-footedness, and good fitness are required for both variants.

Hourly by post bus (from Müstair or Zernez).

Travel Information

From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereinatunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüelapass to Zernez on H27. From Zernez on H28 into Val Müstair 


From the east: via Reschenpass (Nauders) on the SS40 to Mals. From Mals on SS41 to the Swiss border at Müstair. 


From the south: Via Bozen and Merano on the SS40 to Mals. From Mals on SS41 to the Swiss border at Müstair.
