This altitude meter statistic is impressive. You simply take the chairlift to Burleun and then let the studs hum. This short version of the Brigels cable car route is also technically easy and partly runs along the Alp road. Pure enjoyment and just right for a short spin.

Details

Description

Take the chairlift from the Brigels reservoir to Burleun. The view back to the village is already a first highlight. And now, get on the saddle. The first 300 meters follow the road back until you can take the hiking trail at the first curve. After this short trail pleasure, you can relax again and speed along the road to Grap Gries. From here, it goes about 60 altitude meters uphill on the road before a delightful singletrail leads you downhill. After only 300 meters of descent, you must sharply turn left onto the continuing trail. This one is really fun. With short climbs and many flowing sections, the trail leads under the Sogn Sievi chapel through to Mulin. A short ascent over the road and a final dash on a trail and you are already back at the valley station. Ready for the next ride.

Hidden Gem

-If you don’t like singletrails, you can also use the Burleun mountain station as a starting point for very rewarding panoramic routes on the Alp road.

The Brigels cable cars do not transport e-bikes on the lifts.

Safety Note

The route should not be started in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar approaches during the route, you should turn back in time.

MTB, helmet, gloves, cycling shoes, glasses, rain and sun protection, drink, repair kit, first aid kit.

Public Transport

From the Grisons canton capital Chur, take the Rhaetian Railway through the spectacular Rhine Gorge to Ilanz and then on to Tavanasa. Then take post bus line 90.461 Tavanasa - Brigels to the Breil/Brigels, casa communala stop.

Continue with the bike for three minutes to the valley station in Brigels.

Travel Information

On the A13 to Reichenau, then on main road 19 via Flims to Tavanasa and then up to Brigels.

Parking is available at the parking lots of the Brigels cable car valley station.
