Scenic snowshoe hike from one mountain station to another. (signaled)
Details
Description
If there has not been fresh snow recently, we are prepared for the fact that the edges of the ski slopes are already tracked by the freeriders. But our mood remains unclouded, because we are rewarded on the way with fabulous views of the mountains.
After the mountain pastures at Caischavedra we quickly move away from the cheerful ski operation and hike uphill from one marker pole to the other. In sections we are all to ourselves and it is quiet around us. Halfway up we pass a reservoir, the Lai Catrina, which is available as a bathing lake in summer. We walk past the piste bar Gendusas Dadens. Now you have to overcome a rather steep slope. But the thought that we will soon reach the maximum altitude gives us a boost of energy. Then we see the route to Cuolm da Vi in front of us and until there it is slightly downhill a pleasant walk. At the Pistenbar Baracca we settle down with coffee and nut peaks. We deserve it.
From here we can hike back the same way, or we can take the cable car to Sedrun and the train back to Disentis-Acletta.
