Clavadel – Sertig Dörfli

From Clavadel we follow the road for a short distance and then turn at the signpost onto the route to Sertig Dörfli. We walk along a wide path up to the Boden farm. From Boden we continue on a very beautiful footpath on the right side of the Sertig valley.

The path ascends in places but is comfortable and pleasant to walk. At times we walk through larch and fir forests. Time and again we enjoy a magnificent view into the valley towards the striking mountain peaks that close off the valley in the background. These are Mittagshorn, Plattenflue, and Hoch Ducan.

At the end of the forest, at the so-called Eggen, we enter wide, gently sloping meadows. Further ahead, in the plain, lies the small mountain village of Sertig. Above all, the simple white mountain church with the pointed tower catches our eye.

A trip to the valley rear to the waterfall is also worthwhile. In spring, a sea of white crocuses blooms in the meadow around the village. In early summer, further back, whole islands of gentians, primroses, and other mountain flowers can be found. From Sertig Dörfli to the waterfall, we still have just under an hour to walk.
