Description
If that sounds like a successful day to you and the weather forecast for the weekend is good, then you should oil your chain now and head to Laax. From there, take the gondola first up to Crap Sogn Gion. And while all the other bikers turn towards the Never-End-Trail, you pedal up relaxed on wide paths to Crap Masegn. Then the descent starts, so put on your pads and lower your saddle. After the first downhill section, you will probably have to push briefly and then you stand on Crest da Tiarms, the highest point of the route. The trail on the ridge is stunningly scenic, you feel like the king of the world. But be careful: super flowy and extremely broken sections alternate here unexpectedly.
Eventually the forest returns, the ground is covered with spruce needles, and the trail offers many opportunities for hopping and playing. There follows a short ascent to Siat and then it goes into the final descent to Rueun. Here the summer fireworks end and you either head straight back to Ilanz for the station or you end the day with a refreshing foot bath on the banks of the Rhine.
