Description

The trail starts at the Diavolezza valley station, similar to the ski slope in winter, but then continues along beautiful single trails along the rushing mountain river. After a steep ramp and a short pulling way you reach the blue glacier lake Lej da Diavolezza. From here you follow the signpost along a narrow and steep path of stone and scree, which later runs parallel to the glacier, which is covered in summer. It remains very rocky all the time and every step should be well planned. Just before you reach the highest point, you can take the path under the chairlift. From there it is still about 200 hight meters and 300m to the top station of the chairlift. Suddenly the imposing glacier massif of the Bernina Group with Piz Palü, Piz Bellavista, Piz Bernina and the enormous Morteratsch Glacier appears in front of you. Over a wide scree slope, with a slight counter-ascent, you reach the Berghaus Diavolezza. On the panoramic terrace you can enjoy a peaceful view of the mountains. The path leads either back with the gondola or downhill on the same way.
