Circular hike with a stop in the picturesque village of Disla
Details
Description
On a little-used road we walk down to the Rhine, where we hike along the river at the edge of the cross-country ski trail, accompanied by the sound of rushing water. It is idyllic here! In Disla, we walk past old, lovingly maintained farmhouses and a mill with a water wheel towards the St. Luzius Chapel, which is unique in its octagonal shape.
On the way, we reach a bright forest above the cantonal road, where we do not let the noises of the road disturb us. After the Faltscharidas district, we make a cultural stop at the St. Plazidus Church, after which our round trip soon ends at Disentis train station.
Safety Note
Caution when crossing the main road (no pedestrian crossing)
Neighborhood and side streets are mostly free of snow.
Directions
We follow the road to Cavardiras. Before the bridge in Brulf, we turn left until we reach the village. We hike towards the chapel, which can be seen from afar. After visiting the restaurant, we return about 200 meters the same way. Here we find the signpost that points left up to the main road. After crossing the road, the hiking trail leads back to Disentis via Faltscharidas.
