Description

The route leads from Mels to Plons and from there via the tranquil yet astonishingly beautiful Hinterberg to Geisswiesen. On this varied section, you will find both colorful rough pastures and wet meadows. From Geisswiesen, you follow the road to Schwarzenberg as far as the alpine pasture of Kohlschlag, where the popular Sennäbeiz is located.

From Alp Kohlschlag, you head briefly towards Hintersäss, but then turn left after a few meters and cross the romantic Cholschlagerbach stream. Follow the signposts down to Lake Chapfensee. You cross the nature reserve on wide gravel paths, with several fens to admire to the left and right. You can leave your bike at the rear dam wall and explore the Chapfensee on foot.

You return to the valley via an easy Chapfensee road and the Vermölerstrasse.

Hidden Gem

Take part in the E-Bike Beizen-Trophy: collect 12 stamps and receive a pleasure greeting at the end of the season.

Safety Note

Drive with foresight and behave respectfully towards other recreationists and road users.

Equipment

Normal bike equipment. Functional clothing is an advantage, as a long ascent is followed by an equally long descent.
