Description
The trail begins at Alp Trida and leads over blooming alpine meadows to the Alpstein – one of the largest erratic boulders in Switzerland – and continues to Samnaun-Laret. The section up to the Alpstein is technically rated S1 to S2. From the Alpstein, the difficulty increases; the terrain becomes more challenging and requires solid riding technique (S3). Those who want to avoid this challenging section can alternatively follow the forest road to Samnaun-Laret.

The route has been rated under favorable weather conditions; current weather conditions and forecasts must be strictly observed before starting the route. This route requires a certain level of riding safety, balance, and riding skills.

Public Transport
- By the Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau or from the Upper Engadin) hourly to Scuol-Tarasp station
- Continue by PostBus to the PostBus stop Samnaun-Ravaisch, mountain railways (line 921, hourly connections)
- Local bus Samnaun: hourly connections to Samnaun-Ravaisch, mountain railways
- Double-decker train to Alp Trida saddle: in summer every 30 minutes from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (last descent: 5:00 p.m.)
- Follow trail 697 Trider saddle to Alp Trida
Travel Information
- From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via Flüela Pass to the Lower Engadin on H27, turn left at Vinadi towards Samnaun
- From the east: via Landeck / Austria towards Reschen Pass on the B180, from Kajetansbrücke towards Spiss – Samnaun on the L348
- From the south: via Reschen Pass to Kajetansbrücke, then towards Spiss – Samnaun on the L348
- With the double-decker train from Samnaun-Ravaisch to Alp Trida saddle and down the flow trail to Alp Trida

Free public parking at the valley station of the double-decker train, Samnaun-Ravaisch
