Description
The fountain nymph of Valendas leads to seven stations along the circular route. She tells short stories and provides observation tasks that sharpen the senses and allow you to experience nature, geology and history in a fascinating way. The stations provide information on topics such as: Rhine Gorge, Flims rockslide, Carrerabach, mill, Krüzerstall, Erika pine forest and old train station street. The circular route can be easily walked in both directions and started at different points.
Hidden Gem
A visit to the Valendas castle ruins, the largest wooden fountain in Europe in the village center, and the Alix viewpoint are worthwhile.
Equipment
Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are highly recommended.

The faszinatur route can be easily walked in both directions and started at different points. The route leads out of the village of Valendas, to Valendas train station and along the Rhine and Carrerabach back to the village of Valendas.

Valendas train station is served on request by trains heading towards Disentis/Mustér as well as by trains heading towards Chur.
Travel Information
From Chur: Start on Poststrasse heading north towards Grabenstrasse/Route 3, take the A13/E43 and Versamerstrasse to Gassa in Valendas.
From Ilanz: Take the road towards Gassa.
Parking
Paid parking is available at Valendas train station.
