Description

The Flower Walks app combines a hiking guide and a plant identification book. The varied hike leads through Val Müstair along the banks of the Rom. It starts at the source in Tschierv and follows the stream on the theme trail «A la riva dal Rom» to Sta. Maria. The Rom is one of Switzerland’s most beautiful main valley rivers and the only one not used for power generation. Visitors experience natural, mountain-stream typical vegetation communities, such as species-rich fens and enchanting floodplain forests as well as colorful flower meadows and semi-dry grasslands. This diversity offers habitat for countless animal and plant species. For example, the fire lily, spotted monkshood, and various orchids can be discovered.
