Glattwang - Descent Jenaz


Enjoyer route with a short ascent over alpine pastures to Glattwang, long descent over open slopes and through light forests and scattered alpine buildings down to the valley at Jenaz.

Description
From the Berghaus Arflina the route leads northwest and passes a hollow at Caua. Keeping the direction, one ascends east of point 2153 (small lake) over the broad southeast ridge of Glattwang into the upper hollow below the summit slope. The last part leads over the south ridge to the summit Glattwang (2376 m above sea level). Descent along the ascent route or, under appropriate conditions, down via Alp Larein to Jenaz.
Attention! Below Alp Larein is the Oberwald wildlife reserve - the route goes from the lower slope via Särra - Schlegel. Thank you for respecting nature!
Alternative: Descent to Fideris, where another wildlife reserve must also be observed.

Use the shuttle buses of the Fideriser Heuberge as ascent assistance. This way you have more time to enjoy the magnificent mountain world of the Fideriser Heuberge.

Equipment
Ski tours require good preparation and should only be undertaken with favorable weather and avalanche conditions. In addition, a complete safety kit (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, mobile phone) must be carried.

By train to Jenaz or Küblis (910 timetable field). Direct transfer to the post bus to Fideris (90.221 timetable field). The shuttle bus of the Fideriser Heuberge brings you up to the mountain lodges Arflina and Heuberg.
