Description

The journey to the start of the route is already an adventure: a 4x4 bus winds its way along the 12 km long mountain road from Fideris to Berghaus Arflina at exactly 2000 m above sea level. Accordingly, the view is magnificent from the very beginning! Through lush meadows it goes up to the Cluner Lakes and further to Arflinafurgga. From now on it gets exciting: a partly demanding mountain trail follows the ridge via Hinteregg to Glattwang. The popular ski touring destination is rarely visited in summer but offers one of the most beautiful views of the Rätikon rock faces on the opposite valley side. On the descent, you pass the Glattwangseeli which invites you to cool off on a hot summer day. Over pastures you reach the starting point again shortly afterwards.

He especially loves that the trails in Prättigau are not overcrowded and you can be on the trail for hours in untouched nature.

Hidden Gem

  • The grassy mountains above the Fideriser Heuberge are perfect for ridge hikes. For example, from Glattwang via Arflinafurgga, Mattjisch Horn, Zenji to Chistenstein. On the descent, you take in Girenspitz and return via an alpine path.

  • Return to the valley by scooter
