Description

The route begins with a steady ascent from Guarda over the open southern slope. Here you get a view into the western entrance of the Lower Engadin valley up to Susch. After reaching the entrance of Val Tuoi, the trail, still slightly ascending, leads above the Clozza along the left side of the valley. From here, you can catch a glimpse of Piz Buin, whose 3,312-meter-high peak rises at the end of the valley into the blue sky. First along the forest edge of God Vallatscha to Perlas and then a short stretch through the forest leads the trail to its end. Before the return trip, you can enjoy the view of the Silvretta peaks once again; even the Dreiländerspitze on the far right at the valley exit can be made out. The same path leads back to Guarda.

Hidden Gem

The beautiful houses and alleys of Guarda inspired Selina Chönz and Alois Carigiet for their children's book Schellen-Ursli and helped the village win the Henri-Louis Wakker Prize in 1975.

Turn off towards Val Tuoi and Vallatscha
Ascent over the southern slope
Follow the hiking trail on the left side of the valley
Along the edge of the forest to Perlas
Through the forest to its end in Vallatscha
Return route same as the way there

From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car train through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via Flüela Pass into the Lower Engadin on H27

From the east: via Landeck / Austria towards St. Moritz on H27

From the south: via Reschen Pass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofen Pass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27
