Description
Shortly after starting in Falera, on hot days, you enter the cool forest. Again and again you catch views down to the Rhine or far views into the mountain world of the Surselva. The pretty villages Ladir and Ruschein delight with brown-burnt Grisons houses and beautiful churches. Culture should not be neglected either. Behind the village Ruschein, you soon cross the Ual da Mulin brook and can admire the specially located building of the old mill. If it was a bit chilly here, you now reach the end of the tour in Siat over sunny mountain meadows. Shortly before, a stop at the Sogn Glieci church is worthwhile. A quiet place to linger and dream.
Hidden Gem
- Visit the beautiful church squares along the hike
A visit to the Friberg castle ruins in Siat. The short scramble spots are worthwhile just for the view. For the children, there is a playground at the foot of the ruins and a barbecue area for the whole family.
- Restaurant in Ladir "La Terrassa"
Safety Note
In uncertain weather conditions the route should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar develops during the hike, you should turn back in time.
