Description
By FlenmXpress you can get to the starting point of the route, the Segneshütte. If you don't want to take cablecar you can of course start jogging from Flims. For this, the waterway (Trutg dil Flem) is recommended first thing in the morning before all the hikers are on the move there.
The circuit leads on mostly stony paths to the edge of the upper Segenesboden and further towards Tschingelhörner with the Martinsloch. And if you are willing to extend the loop a little bit, you can visit the Segens Mountain Lodge at Segenespass. The route leads back via the lower Segensboden to the starting point.
Hidden Gem
This round can be extended with about one additional km to the Segnespass. As a reward, you can take a break at the Mountainlodge! Definitely worth a visit.
Safety Note
In spring it may have snow fields, slip hazard.
Equipment
Trail running shoes, a backpack with wind/rain jacket, (depending on the temperature it is recommended to take an additional warm layer of clothing), first aid kit, drink.
Directions
From the Segneshütte in northern direction on the lower Segnesboden, quite soon you reach a junction in the path, from where the circuit now goes up to the right towards the upper Segnesboden. At the junction in the path at pt. 2322m.a.s.l continue to the right, still slightly ascending. Follow this path until pt. 2461m.a.s.l (which is the highest point, if you don't walk to Segnespass), turn right again to the next trail junction. Here, turn left down to the lower Segnes floor and across, then on its left side back to the starting point of the Segenshütte.
