Description

The winter hike starts at the restaurant Sennästube on Alp Tannenboden. We follow the direction sign towards Chrüz past the Madils children’s lift and continue on the winter hiking trail to a fork in the path. There we take the left path and follow it. It runs along the edge of the forest, always with a panoramic view of the Madils plain. The path ends again at Alp Tannenboden.

Hidden Gem

Stop by the alpine cheese dairy. There you can also take a piece of Flumserberg home with you.

Public Transport

Arrival by train to Unterterzen and up with the Unterterzen - Tannenboden cable car


Daily from Zurich with the S25 to Ziegelbrücke with a transfer to the S4 to Unterterzen


Daily from St. Gallen with the S4 directly to Unterterzen


Daily from Zurich and Chur with the RE to Walenstadt with a transfer to bus 444 to Unterterzen


From Unterterzen the 8-person gondola lift takes you directly to Flumserberg to the valley station Tannenboden LUFAG.


Arrival by train to Flums and PostBus to Flumserberg Tannenboden


Daily to Flums or Sargans, then continue with bus 441 towards Flumserberg to the stop Tannenboden, village.

Travel Information

Take the Flums/Flumserberg motorway exit, then follow the main road towards Flumserberg Tannenboden.

Parking

Public parking is available at Tannenboden.


The parking lots are chargeable from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. From 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM you may park for free.


From 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM there is a night parking ban. There are enough night parking spaces in the Tannenboden parking garage or in the Tannenheim.


The night parking lot can be used for a fee; however, camping is prohibited.
