Details
Description
The short circular route on the edge of Maloja offers, with about 100 meters of elevation, a good preparation for larger routes. It grants a wonderful view of the village and the surrounding mountains.
From the parking lot at the lake in Maloja, the path first leads along the lakeshore towards Isola. Shortly before Plan Brusciabräga, the path turns sharply right uphill. At 1886 m, the highest point is reached, and the path leads via Pian Curtiniac and the lakeside path back to Maloja.
Those who wish can switch to the winter hiking trail to Isola at Brusciabräga and continue from there on a snowshoe trail to Sils...
Hidden Gem
A detour to Isola and the Lagrev restaurant is worthwhile. Here, fine Bergell specialties await visitors, and the sun terrace invites you to linger.
Equipment
Snowshoes and poles can be rented at the local sports shop “Giacometti Sport, Maloja”.
Directions
All paths are marked with pink signs featuring a white snowshoe.
