Maloja-Isola-Petpreir-Val Fex-Maloja

The route starts at the post office in Maloja and first winds through the houses of Maloja to Lake Silser. It goes leisurely along Lake Silser before the alpine road branches off to the two alp huts Ca d'Starnam and Petpreir. The singletrail into Val Fex also begins here. Before Fex Crasta, the trail joins the driveable road which you follow to Fex Curtins. From there, an alpine path continues to the alp Muot Selvas. The way back to Maloja is on the same trail.

A visit to the Cheva Plattas da Fex Museum is worthwhile. In the past, men from the neighboring Val Malenco worked hard in winter in this area extracting the well-known Fexer slabs, which were used to cover the roofs in Sils. 

Very busy during the high season.
