Details

Description

Leave the hustle and bustle behind and experience the untouched winter landscape above Arosa – the snowshoe trail is perfect for this. It initially leads through the forest along the cross-country skiing trails and then beyond the tree line. Time and again, a unique view opens up over the elongated Schanfigg valley and the mountain landscape of Arosa. At the cozy Prätschalp, the first fixed point of the tour, about one third of the tour is completed: In the warm season, around 100 cows are summered here by farmers from Chur. In winter, the Prätschalp offers a place for a break and refreshment.

Like on the "roof of the world," the snowshoer feels on the next part of the hike, which leads via Rot Tritt over the Scheidegg.

The last part of the trail then invites you to enjoy once again: gently downhill it leads back to Maran, where the free local bus picks up the winter sports enthusiasts again.
