Description

This snowshoe trail is marked.

The circular route starts at the Catholic parish church of St. Zeno in Ladir. From there, the marked trail leads over a meadow to the village exit, where the cross-country ski trail is located. From here, it is recommended to proceed clockwise on the snowshoe trail. It then goes left over meadows and through forest areas. The route offers regular ascents for enjoyable snowshoeing. A steeper section appears only on the descent. The highlight of this snowshoe trail is the Alp la Muota, which remains in deep winter sleep until the next alpine summer. Once at the top, a graceful winter landscape welcomes you. It offers peace and an impressive panoramic view. Particularly impressive up here is the view of the Signina group with Piz Fess or towards Val Lumnezia and Vals. From Alp la Muota, the route returns the same way before continuing the circular route back towards Ladir. This snowshoe trail is fairly snow-sure.

Hidden Gem

Stop by the restaurant La Terrassa in Ladir and enjoy a delicacy. In good weather, the large terrace is open.

From October to around the end of April, the "Tancadi Run Giosch" (self-service snack hut) is open. The path of this route passes by this "gas station".

Safety Note

Please be considerate and do not enter the cross-country ski trail with snowshoes. Thank you!

This marked route runs mostly in safe terrain. However, in case of greater avalanche danger, we strongly advise against hiking it. Carrying avalanche equipment is always necessary in unsecured terrain.

We recommend for preparation and planning to use the app and website of WhiteRisk.

For carefree enjoyment, we recommend our mountain guides and snowshoe hiking leaders of the Surselva.
