On the easy-to-walk trail between the Madrisabahn mountain station and the Mässplatte, visitors reach the "High Alpine Medicinal Herb Garden" in about 45 minutes on foot. 19 herb signs with pictures and text point out the naturally occurring medicinal plants here, their uses, as well as their blooming and fruiting times.

Description

The route starts at the Madrisa mountain station through the Madrisa land to the Kuh-Alp Albeina. From here, the steady ascent begins, with the best views of the valley and the surrounding mountain scenery. The starting point of the medicinal herb trail is located about halfway to the Mässplatte. The numerous information boards provide you with fascinating insights into the world of medicinal herbs. You can use the same route back until you return to the Madrisa mountain station.

Hidden Gem

Be sure to enjoy the spacious and barrier-free terrace of the Madrisa Alp. The charming self-service restaurant is located directly at the Madrisa mountain station.
