Monbiel – Alp Garfiun – Alp Novai

The Monbiel parking lot, reachable by post bus or car from Klosters Platz in ten minutes, is the starting point of the winter hike. From there, the trail follows along the Landquart river over the Pardenner Boden and below Alp Garfiun across an open area to Alp Novai. At Alp Novai, you reach the farthest point of the winter hike. Now a small loop takes you back to Alp Garfiun. A detour to the rustic alpine hut, about a five-minute walk from the winter trail, is definitely worthwhile—not only because of the delicious Bündner specialties but also for the fantastic view. Refreshed, you then continue to Pardenner Boden. This time you turn right, and the path leads down the valley via Schwendi to Monbiel, where the wonderful winter hike ends.
