Description

16 stops provide information about the glacier's retreat and the mysterious life in its forefield. A literary treat is offered by the LiteraTOUR. The captivating audio texts can be listened to individually via QR code at the 16 information points along the Morteratsch Glacier route. The stories tell anecdotes, poems, and route reports from various epochs.

Children can follow the stories of the children's booklet "Sabi's big dream" in the unique glacier world and gather exciting impressions. The children receive a mini-book that tells a story and includes tasks. The tasks can be completed step by step on the hiking trail towards Morteratsch Glacier. Several information points with stamp buttons are located along the way, allowing the children to collect imprints in the book. At the end of the route, when all imprints have been collected, the booklet with the solution can be shown at the Pontresina Tourist Information and the children will receive a small surprise.

The booklet "Sabi's big dream" is available at the Hotel Morteratsch, at Camping Morteratsch, in the Sabi mailbox at the glacier route, or at the Pontresina Tourist Information.

In summer, the ascent to Morteratsch Glacier can then be undertaken. This starts at the wooden bridge at the end of the Morteratsch Glacier route. The short mountain hike (about 30 minutes) leads over scree and a rock step up to the glacier tongue.
