Description

We start at Sedrun train station and ride off the main road towards Rueras. In Rueras, we go through narrow alleys and past traditional houses down to the campsite and playground.

At the playground on the meadow Plaun da Pors, the first break can be taken. There are fire pits for grilling, a beach volleyball court, two small lakes for cooling off, and even a short Vita parcours.

The path continues through the forest to Surrein where the bathing lake Lag da Claus awaits – pleasantly warmed, with a sandy beach, loungers, and at the kiosk with terrace you can get snacks and ice cream.

The last climb back to the train station is taken easily after an eventful outing.

Hidden Gem

A grilled lunch on the Plaun da Pors! Pors = pigs: But there haven't been any piglets here for a long time.

Equipment

Pack your swimwear.

Directions

From the train station along the parking lot westwards towards Camischolas. After the bridge over the Strem, turn right. At the last barn on the left side, turn left and go down briefly until the junction to the right. At the end of the field path, turn right towards the train stop, but at the next junction turn left again immediately. The paved neighborhood street leads into a steep footpath that goes up to the main road. Cross this. We reach the old village street and turn right. At the organic farm Giossi, we turn left again onto a field path that leads down to the playground. The field path ends after the playground in a paved street that leads past the power plant to the right towards Surrein. Before the first houses, we ride down to the chapel and then straight ahead between the houses to the bathing lake. On the street, we ride back to the train station.
