Description

The element fire appears in Feldis in both beautiful and terrible ways. On the village walk Feldis stroll, it shows how devastating a fire in 1774 was: 39 houses and 27 stables fell victim to the flames, only one house remained intact. Nevertheless, fire remained the most important source of heat and light: electric light was first lit in Feldis in 1916. Today, fire can be used pleasantly at barbecue areas. Sausages and more are available by the way in the village shop.
