Details
Description
The hike leads through the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage site "Tektonikarena Sardona".
The starting point for the hike is the valley station in Flims. From there, the path gently ascends to Foppa and then steadily uphill to the former Naraus mountain station. Most of the elevation gain is now done. It continues along the Segnes high path towards the lower Segnesboden with a fantastic view. After passing the final section of the lower Segnesboden, you reach the Segneshütte, which invites you to linger on its sun terrace.
In the visitor pavilion at the Segneshütte, you learn how the world looked when the rockslide occurred or when the main thrust was still active. Dive into the past and travel back to the origins of the geological highlights of the region.
The route continues past the reservoir and to the managed Alp Nagens, from where you can take the Nagens shuttle to the valley station in Laax.
Hidden Gem
Regional delicacies are offered in the converted cowshed at Alp Nagens.
Safety Note
Dear bikers,
The hiking trail between the Nagens cable car station and the Val Vau bus stop is reserved for hikers and therefore closed to bikers.
In 2023, the hiking trail was extensively renovated. For the safety of all user groups, the Nagens Trail was built to create separation. We therefore ask you to use Bike Trail 693. Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you lots of fun on the LAAX bike trails.
Equipment
Good hiking shoes with a good profile or trekking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing (rain jacket/sunscreen), drink, possibly food, possibly hiking poles.
